Postcard to Florence
Watt Space Gallery, Newcastle Solo Exhibition.
A series of small paintings created after a study trip to Florence, Italy.
I was captivated by the flora and fauna included in all the great paintings and created this body of work, using traditional materials and methods to highlight these elements but also to paint 'my local' just as the Florentine artists did, five hundred years ago.
